Bryan McClain Delk, age 41, passed away Saturday, 2/2/13 at MTMC hospital due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

Funeral services were Wednesday, 2/6/13 at 2pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor David Baker officiating. Burial followed at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family received friends for visitation on Tue, 2/5/13 from 5-8pm & again 2 hours prior to the service on Wed at Heritage Funeral Home.

Bryan was born on 1/28/72 in Columbia to Ross McClain Delk & Patricia Adams Delk. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church & worked as a driver for Integrity Packaging Services, a contractor for FedEx. Bryan also worked for the Columbia Police Department under SWAT & Patrol, COPs and CSU from 1993 until 2009.

Bryan adored his wife, Laurie-Sue Delk, of almost 20 years & loved his family. He enjoyed playing with his kids, especially video games with his boys. He often bought gifts for his wife & daughters. He liked Harleys, jeeps, and mustangs, and he also collected guns. The memories of Bryan will live forever in the hearts of his family & friends. He was loved by many & will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his wife & parents, he left behind to cherish his memory his children: McClain Jacob Delk (18), Mason Tyler Delk (12), Laurelle Angelica Delk (25), Carynne Allyson Delk (16)....

Pallbearers included policemen: Chris Bishop, Vince Morgan, Brad Ribley, Bill Denton, Jake Marbet, and Jason Bobb.

Officer Chris Bishop also told a story about Bryan's life.

Bryan was buried with full honor guard & lead to the grounds by the Harley hearse.
